WelcomeHome.Vet is the civilian side of the military transition program (T.A.P.) We take over where the T.A.P. leaves off with recently discharged veterans and their families. Connecting them to services in their communities, guiding them throughout every step of the transition process and providing peer to peer mentoring. We are focused on helping veterans to successfully transition back into civilian life.

We have a partnership thru collaboration, that focuses on providing services and support that creates an environment for successful military transition to civilian life, by being the boots on the ground.

The Veteran community needs to be recognized as an apparatus that is already in place on local levels that provide economic and community development opportunities and a force in place for all types of emergencies.

We help cities and communities attract and retain veterans. Successful military to civilian transition occurs with a properly constructed dynamic network that is able to expedite access to resources, programs, services, and benefits.

Understanding the military to civilian transition from a Veteran’s perspective and that of their families, caregivers, and survivors provides a unique lens into the most important needs of transitioning Service members.

The ecosystem, for the required outcome within a community consists of a local transition team that includes individual Service branches, the inter-agency Transition Assistance Program (TAP), and community resources delivered through local government, and both private and non-profit industries.

This ecosystem delivers the holistic approach identified by the VA, that works the system outlined in their framework. We continue to focus on how we can improve the lives of our service members, veterans and their families. We are committed in maximizing the civilian and community potential of transitioning veterans.
